My Favorite Wallpaper Sites
Posted by: Rea Maor In: Computers and Technology - Saturday, August 18th, 2007Here’s a few wallpaper links that I’ve accumulated over the years. All of which are free of charge and don’t hassle you with a lot of ads or signing up.
- Smashing Magazine’s List - Smashing Magazine, always the first name in good techie taste!
- Customize.org - Always something new here.
- Wallpaper Review - A list of links to wallpaper sites with reviews.
- Blatte’s Backgrounds - Computer graphics, with lots of color and originality.
- Fractal Recursions - If you’re burnt out of fractal images, you might recover when you see this site. Marvelously inventive designs here.
- Movie Title screens - An alphabetized gallery of the title-card screens from movies. Everything from the earliest classics to the latest blockbusters!
- Penguin Pete’s - Original graphic art of every category and size from 1600×1200 to iPhone size. Creative Commons licensed, and he encourages inclusion in Linux distros and other open source projects.
- Opacity - Architectural photography. Abandoned places and urban exploration.
- NASA’s astronomy picture - A new space scene posted every day, from their various projects.
- SocksOff - Nice, sharp designs.
- Social wallpapering - what del.icio.us is to links. Best images get voted up, worst get voted off.
There, that ought to keep you busy today!
