Every Monty Python Mashup on YouTube
Posted by: Rea Maor In: Humor - Monday, May 21st, 2007What is it about Monty Python and geek culture? To be immersed in computers, chats, or the web at large and not have a broad knowledge of Monty Python sketches counts almost as a handicap. Without Python awareness, you’ll be lost in a quagmire of obscure references that sail over your head. Whenever you find yourself wondering things like “Why did they threaten me with the comfy chair?”, “What was that bit he did with naming all those cheeses?”, and “What’s this dead parrot everybody’s going on about?”, you’ll probably find your answer by looking it up in a search related to Monty Python. Just mashups on YouTube alone have almost spawned their own cottage industry - look here:
- Camelot / Star Trek
- Black Knight / Star Wars
- How Not To Be Seen / Halo
- Always Look On the Bright Side of Life / Passion of the Christ
- Always Look On the Bright Side of Life / Jesus Christ Superstar
- The Violence Inherent in the System / Neon Genesis Evangelion
- The Holy Grail / James Bond
- The Holy Grail / Electro Music
- Audio Remix of many Monty Python songs
- Taunting Frechman / Doctor Who and a Dalek
- Bravely Bold Sir Robin / Azumanga Daioh
- Holy Hand Grenade / Bastard!! Destructive God of Darkness
- Holy Grail / Pokemon
- Sir Robin / Yusuke Urameshi

Insider culture is allways unconfortable unless you are part of it, that is what makes it desirable to be part of, to escape the discomfort of being the outsider. Stupid, n’est ce pas?
